Business Support Remote Sessions

This Article Applies to:

  • Avast Business Hub
  • Avast Business On-Premise Console
  • Avast Small Business Solutions
  • Avast Small Office Protection

Our Business Technical Support has a specific process in place for contacting customers, to ensure safety and security of private information.

Remote Sessions are only conducted using https://support.avast.com/pin. This URL displays a box asking for a six-digit code, which is provided by the Support Agent, at which point the customer downloads a package to run on their computer. After installation of this package, our support agents will be able to access the device. No other software or URL is used for remote connection. If you are given a URL with any differences from the ones above, do not initiate the connection.

If you believe you have been targeted by a fraud or scam wherein someone claimed to be affiliated with Avast, and you feel your information was stolen, the first thing you should do is seek out law enforcement and make a report. After that, please contact our Legal team. We recommend you gather as much information on the situation as possible and email legal@avast.com, so Avast can also investigate the situation and determine what processes to put in place to prevent similar situations from recurring.

We also recommend, in general, that customers review the information in the Avast Academy. There are many articles related to device security, online privacy, and best practices to ensure your data remains safe.
