Signing Up for Business Hub

IMPORTANT: If you are already a Business Hub administrator and want to register an additional console using your existing admin account, do not follow the below instructions, as these describe the process of creating a brand new account. Instead, add the new console directly from your current Hub, via the Create Company option in Your Profile. A single login will then be used for all consoles you add this way, and you will be able to easily switch between them without having to log in and out each time using different accounts. For more information and detailed instructions, see Adding and Managing Companies.
We also recommend you consider converting to the multi-tenant version of the Business Hub if you are managing multiple companies. A multi-tenant Hub allows you to manage all your companies from a single console, with added benefits of centralized policies, reports, alerts, and global Remote Control subscriptions. There are two ways to register a new Business Hub account - either via the Avast Partner Portal or directly from businesshub.avast.com. The former is used by partners/MSPs providing support to multiple companies, while the latter is used by direct users or those without Partner Portal access.

If you are a partner or an MSP with Partner Portal access, please contact your sales representative in order to register through the portal.

If you are a direct user or without Partner Portal access, follow the steps below to register a new Business Hub account:

  1. Navigate to businesshub.avast.com from a supported browser (see System Requirements)
    • You will be redirected to id.avast.com - this is where the accounts are created and managed.
  2. On the login page, click the Log in for the first time link
  1. Enter your email address
  2. Enter the password you would like to use to log in to the console
  3. Click Continue

You will then be redirected to the Hub setup page (https://businesshub.avast.com/signup).

Selecting Change next to your email address will take you back to the ID login page.

Enter your company name to open the next fields for your name, region, and the datacenter location.

The default datacenter location is displayed (based on geolocation). You can select Change to select a different datacenter from the drop-down menu.

Once you fill out all the fields, click Continue.

Note that once the datacenter is set, it cannot be changed.

If you haven't purchased a subscription yet, you can select Continue to Hub on the next screen to activate the Ultimate Business Security 30-day trial.

If you have already purchased a subscription (e.g. you have a wallet key or activation code), you can select Already purchased and enter your code, then Continue to Hub.

The subscription (trial or pre-purchased) will then be activated, and you will be taken to your Business Hub's Dashboard so you can continue configuring your console.

The Getting Started widget at the top of the Dashboard can help you complete the initial configuration of the Hub. You can also refer to our Quick Start: Avast Business Hub article for more information on how to set up your console.

The newly created Hub will be a single-tenant one. If you intend to manage multiple companies/sites, consider Converting From Single-Tenant to Multi-Tenant Business Hub.
