Configuring USB Protection Exclusions

 

You can configure exclusions for USB Protection via the USB Protection exclusions settings of a selected policy so that specified connected removable devices can be allowed for unlimited time. Whitelisted devices will not be affected by any global setting configured in the policy.

Note that you cannot manually specify an exclusion for a device that has not yet been connected in the network.

 

To exclude a removable device from USB Protection:

1. Open the Policies page
2. Click the desired policy to open its Detail drawer
3. Select the Exclusions tab
4. Expand the USB Protection exclusions section
5. Click + Add new exclusion

6. Tick the checkbox(es) next to the device(s) you want to exclude

7. Click Add new exclusion

Once added, the exclusion(s) will be displayed on the Removable storage device exclusions list. If needed, you can delete previously added exclusions from the list by clicking the trash bin icon in the Actions column.
