Cloud Backup System Requirements

General Requirements

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or higher
  • Internet connection (broadband recommended)
  • Business Agent 4.28 or higher (latest version recommended)

  • 10 (Pro, Education, and Enterprise editions) — x64, x86
  • 8/8.1 (all versions except RT and Starter Edition) — x64, x86
  • 7 SP1 (requires KB3033929) — x64, x86
  • Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012 (any edition with latest service pack excluding Server Core) — x64

Supported applications

  • Exchange Server 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010 SP2 — x64
    • Exchange must be installed on the same device where Cloud Backup is running.

    • Credentials of a Windows account that has permission to back up Exchange databases are required.

  • SQL Server 2019, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012
    • SQL server must be installed on the same device where Cloud Backup is running.

    • Microsoft® SQL Server® Shared Management Objects and Microsoft® System CLR Types for Microsoft® SQL Server® must be installed. The version can match the installed version (e.g. the 2019 version when using SQL Server 2019).

    • The Microsoft SQL user must have the server role sysadmin and database roles db_owner and db_backupoperator for each database that will be selected for backup.

Hardware

  • Processor: 1 GHz or faster
  • Disk Space: 40 MB (client installation package is 14 MB)
    • When caching files for backup, up to the whole backup size of extra disk space may be required. If there is low disk space, you can adjust the backup caching settings locally.
