Installing ShadowProtect

IMPORTANT: ESS and ShadowProtect have been officially retired. If you have not yet moved away from these services, please do so immediately to avoid encountering any disruption once they are completely turned off. For more information on CloudCare services discontinuation, see CloudCare Services EoL.

 

Before you or your customers can install ShadowProtect, you must offer the service to the customer account.

Offering ShadowProtect

The ShadowProtect service is installed and billed separately from other CloudCare services.

New Customer

  1. From the Partner Dashboard, click Add Customer
  2. Enter the customer’s profile, billing information, and account type, then click Save and Select Services
  3. Under the Cloud Backup section, select Monthly for the subscription type
  4. Enable the Offer ShadowProtect Backup option, then click Save

Existing Customer

  1. From the Partner Dashboard, select the customer’s name from the Customer drop-down menu
  2. Go to the Account tab
  3. Select Services from the left-side navigation panel
  4. Under the Cloud Backup section, select Monthly for the subscription type
  5. Enable the Offer ShadowProtect Backup option, then click Continue
  6. Click Save

Installing ShadowProtect

From the Partner Dashboard, select the customer’s name from the Customer drop-down menu

Go to the Devices tab, then use the arrow to expand the Device details

Under Other Actions, click Install Additional Server Products

Select the ShadowProtect Backup service option, then press Install

After ShadowProtect has been installed successfully, a reboot will be required
