Rate Limiting

IMPORTANT: ESS and ShadowProtect have been officially retired. In order to protect the reputation of our IP addresses we have introduced a rate limit for outbound emails. The new limit is 500 messages per USER within 10 minutes.

Because the Email Security Services system is not designed for mass mailing, the mailbox will be blocked if this limit is breached. If you need to perform mass mailings we would recommend using a third party service designed specifically for this purpose.
